I was wondering can you run a home theater sub in a car because i just got a home theater system for free from my sister's boyfriend and on the theater system it pounds pretty hard so i thought about putting it in my car

you can if it is passive and a correct ohm load to work with a car amp.

But dont expect it to sound good in a small sealed environment cause they are designed for large open environments.

I've used home subwoofers in my car... not to bad. I've also used a computer sub in my car.
