onelivinlarge
Not sure what kinda car cuz I'm on mobile. But if it has a cable driven speedo its prolly loose on the cluster. Or could be a loose plug. Worst case the gauge itself could have suffered some internal damage its a 91 accord its an electrical one i am told Quote 1) lookj to left 2) NOTICE BLKUE 3) ME > Y9OU 4) that is all

Mosin
If its electrical it can easily be any of the connecting plugs. Such as behind the dash, at the ECU, etc.. Hope you get it figured out. If messing with connector behind dash don't work try unplugging the connectors from the ECU one at a time to restore good conductivity. Of course make sure you take extra time working at them so you don't ruin anything. Unhooking the negative terminal if your concerned about frying anything. My .02 Quote Derp.
