Beginning to strip my tool and the screw. Anyone know how to take these bastards out? HHR Ed
As I was repeating in my head the whole time...what's the best tool to use? lol, I know, sorry. What kind of head is the bolt? If it's philips they are usually large, maybe number 3 or 4. If its a hex bolt, just a good socket and long handle. Maybe use some liquid wrench to break it. There is sometimes glue on the screws Quote Ed Lester ShowtimeSPL Host Showtime Electronics Video MarketingMy old Build Loghttp://www.stevemead...08/#entry511451http://www.youtube.com/showtimespl 5 time dB Drag Finalist Last ride 2007 HHR, current dB 153.5 and bass race 149.4 dB. 153.0 dB on music New Ride, 2008 HHR SS. EclipseChris
PBblaster is the best penetrating oil i have ever used, give it a try. And an impact driver if you have one or can find one. Edited September 14, 2010 by EclipseChris Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback. CHEMMINS
Drill, extractor bit for the farked one. Heat works too. Or of you are a hex, try finding a driver for it, and tap the end of the hex driver while twisting. The vibration should help like an impact wrench. By tap the end of the hex driver, not sure what you mean. CHEMMINS
Basically what I mean is if you had a screwdriver straight up and down, while turning, tap the end of the grip with a hammer while turning. You must be coordinated to do this.
