there is plenty of mainstream stuff that is good, and a shit ton of non known stuff thats shitty.

and like n8ball said, dont tune anywhere around 18hz.

unless you listen to just chopped and screwed stuff you wont even want to tune around 30.

Ive had boxes ranging from 22hz to 55hz.

and from all that, tuning around 34 hz is the lowest youd really want to go, even if your music is all slowed, if not, maybe 36~38hz

save below 25hz for ht setups

as for a sub, you cant go wrong with a sundown 15

I would also get atleast a second batt to help that amp out.

Sundown subs are good, fi subs are good, dc subs are good, ascendant audio subs are good, t3 audio,digital designs subs are good.

Make a choice of what fits in you're price range.

I would do a common chamber but if you ever plan on running only one sub each having their own chamber would be good but just have a common chamber is easier. if your doing SSD 18's i'd have a box thats about 12-13 cubes after port and displacement tuned to about 33hz with about 190-210 sq inches of port area
