My Ascendant Audio Mayhem 18s do so much better then my old 9518s with the composite cones, and with paper cones.. Never really heard the hollow sound personally, all I can think of is it comes from higher tuned boxes made to burp not street beat like all my installs with my 9500s and 3500s have been in...
