bumonskateboard6 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Share Posted September 19, 2010 So a friend came to me with his 2005 Volvo S60 and said he wanted his iPhone to mount on his dash...I've never really done/attempted anything like this before so don't hate too much but anyway here are some pics: Filled a pocket on his dash with some expanding foam after dremeling it out to be larger than an iPhone 4 with a bumper on it Cut sanded and dremeled out the area for the phone Test fit it works! Nasty bumps in the bottom after I glued and stretched a "screen cleaning" cloth over it all Cleaned up the edges and bottom and put it back in the dash it fits! iPhone 4 fits and holds in place when he drives around without shaking or moving at all! Now before everyone goes and hates this was just a project for the sake of we had nothing else to do and just used supplies I had sitting in my garage, overall though he's happy with it and I think it's a unique way to have an iPhone/iPod mounted in a car and still have it be removable.
