i have 2 xl's on a sd 12k takes surprizingly well for burbs and drive bu runs

if you are careful on how you set everything the xl will be good

imo the xl is the best sub dc makes right now

yes even better than the lvl 5

the xl WILL handle that power daily i have seen it done, just set all the gains properly and build the box to the proper specs

im just sticking with my old box..i dont feel like making another and vinyl-ing it again lol

2.4cubes tuned to 32hz...the btl peaked at 30hz so im interested to see what the lvl 5 or XL does

Umm again xl i have seen boxes where the btl would play all day then they droped in lvl 5's and they kept on blowing

the lvl 5 takes up a lot of displacment

i Still have no clue...i am really thinking about the whole future aspect too...i can put more power on the 5 in the future..im still debating...

Like corona jeff said will you even see 3k? i have 2k plus per woofer in a perfect world, and my xls sound great. I tried the lvl 5s first thinking like most of you(get the best and have room to grow) well they didnt work for me, i blew 3 in 3wks. switched to xls and no problems i blew one but that was my error. i would go with xls

If your going to use your same box I wouldn't put more than 1,500 or so to it although that box will likely give you a lot of rise. I asked skittlesrgood who is running 6k to two XLs and he is running them right at 1.45-5^ft a piece. If you want to hear a XL on 1,500 hit me up and well meet maybe this weekend if my cars done. Oh yeah. Anna said they are out of the XL motors until the beginning to middle of october. I gotz the last one! Lol sorry bruh!

Oh yeah. I did my box right around 1.8^ft after displacement and so far it is pounding the hell out of my audiopipe.
