bibby>Chode
Put a new amp in this girl i know's new CTS. She got it a few weeks ago, and bought these 12w1's in the CRAPPY box from a pawn shop. then i talked her into the kicker 400.1 to power them nicely. Well, she got her amp in today, and came over, and i wired it up for her. The car was wired previously w/ like some 8ga wire. She didn't want to upgrade it right now, so i just used it. Yes, i stressed to here the amp needs at least some 4ga, and to definnatly get a new box. Although, after i listened to this box, if it had all the holes filled in, and the box sealed up good, re-carpet it, and it may be alright. Anyways, dual 4 subs, I wired them to 2ohm, and into them amp. The birthsheet was around 440, so each one should be seeing a good 180-200, granted the power wire is strong enough to support that. Anyways, here are the pics... Car tucked in my garage... bibby>Chode
Side shots Amp and step down mounted to the box... RCA's are under the amp, and the speaker wires are going down through one of the many holes in the box, that i did stress to her needed to be fixed. Me, tuning. I was running tunes from my mp3 collection on my big computer wirelessly to the garage to my laptop through a 1/8" to cassette adapter into the car. (In this pic, you can kinda see the girl who owns the car.) Looking through the collection Caught off guard some tones. The box was audible loudest at between 38-40-42hz Brass knuckles(that arent brass) she carries in the center console. I will get a vid up prolly tommorrow, got to change the format of it, and upload it. Edited August 10, 2007 by bibby

JMy CardomainFINISHED COBALT SS/SC DUAL ALTERNATOR PICS theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer
