Carroot1
I have 2 12 inch Sundown's and a AQ1200D which says it produces 1200 rms at 14.4v but my battery is a 12v battery, will a cheap 2nd battery do the trick or not? The big 3 is impractical for me since my battery is in the trunk (German Engineering) My cars a bmw 323i 1999 Thanks MY amp http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=
Tek
ehh a 12V battery will put out 14.4 volts. With that amp, I don't see how you will get the full 1200 volts, but as impractical as you think the Big 3 is, you need to really consider it if you want your set up to put out more power. Another battery will help, but you should do the Big 3 first and foremost.

Skullz
Providing the dimensions are the same this is a great battery to replace your stock one with and yes the big 3 will make a big improvement and adding a second battery will increase your capacity. http://www.autobarn.net/eas9agm49.html Quote 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Tek
you just need to do the long run of 1/0 and do the Big

Tek
under the car? either that or under the carpet, whatever floats your boat. I haven't ran wires under my car before, I dont trust myself cutting. I do know that you should use PVC piping to protect the wires.
Boon
Don't worry about the Big 3 in a BMW. Just upgrade the chassis ground to a short-ass piece of 0ga to one of the frame rails right beside the battery. We ran like 5kw off a single big battery in the trunk of a BMW 5 series, no problems at all. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
