Sanding that down and bondo-ing to be a nice writing surface will suck. Why not polyurethane a sheet of birch and makes speaker pods separate. Then screw the finished pods to the desk? I wish you the best on it, just seems to be the hard way of going about doing it. Love to see more pics and work though thanks for the advice now.. haha yeah, i thought about all that when i started but didnt want to overwhelm myself on my first project but if i ever re-do it or on the next project i will deffinately spend more time doing stuff like that.
