Recommended Posts

ok so, im trying to play my 360 online. im connected to xbox live, but my ping is so effing low i cant even find a match!!

is there anyway to get ping up? maybe connecting the router directly to the xbox? i have the new built in wireless console and am using a netgear-n 150 to send the signal.

netgear is your issue. Ive never had good luck with them. try cabling up and plugging it into the modem cirectly. or even cabling up to the router.

wireless = 54 MBps

cat5 = 100 MBps

It's not the fact that wireless is only 54 mb/s that is the problem, its just the fact it has to go through more devices. But yes, you should notice a difference hardwiring it. I can even tell a difference just browsing the web between wiress and wired
