the gun exploding in your hand, I've seen a ton of pictures but never first hand

ive never seen it happen first hand, but ive seen plenty of glocks that had kaboomed. the reason they do it, is because of the way the chamber is made at the feed ramp. they use a really angle for the feed ramp so the gun will feed more reliably, but they made the angle so long that it leaves a portion of the side of the brass casing unsupported, which would cause a weak casing to bust in that spot, setting off a chain reaction leading to the explosion in your hand.

THIS. Id also like to add that this happens on the .40 and .45 caliber guns, not the 9mm'ers. This is the reason most of us with 9's never experienced this problem. And why I am extremely reluctant to buy a Glock in a .45 ACP. I have my Kimber for that.

yay, tupperware. :peepwall:

yall keep the plastic.... i will trust my life to the all steel construction and 100 years of proven 1911 reliability and superiority.

spoken like a true 1911 snob....Glocks are like the AK47's of handguns.... EXTREMELY reliable and durable.... I run a couple hundred rounds though my glocks a week and I have NEVER had a failure to fire, jam, or kaboom. I put my life and my families life behind them whole heartedly.... I know when I pull the trigger they will fire...external safeties, hammers and chrome bs arent needed... and I own a Kimber 1911 :)

my tupperware gun is pretty damn accurate for a short barrel 40. Ive got a g27 too.

it wont shoot one hole at 40feet like my kimber will though.....

so I guess the numerous world champion competitive shooters that use glocks are behind the loop according to you
