Pauliesnite93 Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 its two audio que hdc3 18s dual 2 ohm. each of them are hooked two one channal the amp reading 1.2 ohms. with them specs of the box dose it seam like there is too much port area. i dont think the subs are out of phase but the cones do move at differant speeds. one of the is the new aq hdc3 with the mesh in between the rizers. and the other one is the old one where you can see the coil. Your ohm loads, make sure your subs are in phase, make sure the gain is set properly (at least with a DMM) and that the high pass isn't above 80 (i put it at 65-ish but 80 should be the maximum). Also, the tuning of your box will affect the notes. Making the port smaller will tune the box LOWER, not higher. So if you're concerned about hitting notes in the 50-80 hz range and your subs wont do it, either re-do the box or get some midbass speakers. Quote wtf is lolcats? One thing that might be going on, some vehicles change the tuning of the box... also, do you have another amp in there, possibly mids and highs and the highpass is set low as the low pass on the sub amp?
