This simple plug in raised my charging voltage from 14.3 idle to 14.6 idle and 14.8-14.9 at full RPM. The yellow and blue wires tap into the orange with blue stripe wire coming of of your stock alt and you can use the dual plug if you want to. EDIT- yes it is the GM oval plug for the dual alt.
