Is it pointless to run a component system of HU power?

Ive been thinking about upping my front stage but I wasn't sure if its worth it to do unless I grab a amp for them first. Is it totally pointless to run them off HU power atleast until I get another amp?

It's no different than running coax off your headunit. Still a woofer and a tweeter. Just separated.

^ WRONG! coaxes have shit diodes and no real crossover value plus no seperation for staging....

ok..... so if y our newer or newish you may not know me....

i grew up doing sq..... (meaning my training and knowledge was all sq back in the day)

if you run componants off a head unit you will not be giving them rated power.... IDC what the H.U. says it will do its not enough.

with out rated power they will not "shine" aka do theyre best.

you can burn the internal amp of your head unit up

you can clip the signal to the comps causing damage to them.....

wont ever get the full potential from them.....
