CJ18
Im not complaining..thats why I added the smiley face. Oh, sorry about that. I just figured you were. Ill get back on topic now. Maybe you could wire it lower in your application so it doesnt raise that high. Is the amp stable that low, do you care about the warranty, and do you have the electrical to back it up Yeah i guess i made one hell of a run on sentence there....my bad. I dont know how low the amp is stable. Not my amp and I don think he has a warranty, he bought it used. Electrical consists of stinger 225 amp alt and 3 yellow tops. 2 runs of 1/0 front to back and the big 3 i think ill double check on that 1. cheese20323
on a daily setup imp rise doesn't matter to you unless your going for tenths on the meter.....leave as is. Quote 92 Accord Build

When I clamp an amp that is rated to do 2400 watts at 1 ohm and am only getting 870 out of it, I think it does matter.

CJ18
He is running a planet audio big bang 2400. I know the box is causing alot of it. It is a 9.5 total cuft box for 1 mayhem 18. Its efficient as hell but I think its just too big.

Im just wondering if 45s in the box and maybe a smaller port would lower rise?

CJ18
Those amps aren't exactly known for doing rated power... Oh I know they arent. I wasnt consulted when they were purchased. I had sold him 2 of my kicker 2500.1s when i bought my warhorse but he got a wild hair up his ass to sell those and go with these. Im tryin to get him to go with 2 dc xl 18s and an american bass 500.1 but thats a whole different story. Im just looking for a few tricks I can try to maybe help get a little more out of these amps.
