depends on the car

if mids location allows for it to be staged correctly with coaxial, then it's much easier to use them

now if you can't do that components are better

biggest problem with coax is the gap is not sealed so it can get dirt in it

components all the way. most of the time your able to adjust the crossover to the tweet so that allows yea to adjust to what you like a lil more.. also separates were the sound is comeing from witch makes it sound cleaner and louder. another benefit is you can put a better tweet in place of the one that comes with it, and give it its own power with a amp (allows further "customization")
