Hello, I am new here and I am totally amazed at the work. I always see custom systems ya know on tv, magazines and shows. These are slightly over the top and one thing I always wonder is how much does a person charge for a job like the caddy and howlong does a job like that take. I might get some punches here for asking but I just had to ask. I can say one thing DAMMMMMN.

steve has been workin on the hoopty for over a year now if i'm correct and for price, mang u can't put a price on steve's work it's just priceless and i don't wanna even think wat a shop would charge for everything that has gone into the hoopty.

to be fair, a shop would have gotten it done faster probably......they work as a team and have all day every day to work on it. I dont, i only get a couple hours after work every nite (if i feel like working on it) and weekends. I took some time off work and got some work done but nothing like it being a day-job. If i had all day and 4 extra hands (that knew what they were doing) it might not take so long. Also, he dont give a damn how long it takes....its not just business....were friends too. Plus, he knows im workin hard, he gets pics every time i lift a finger

price wise, well we talked about a few things.....but the problem is, we keep adding stuff as we go so its hard to put a tag on the project really. I could have stopped at the bag replacement but i thought it would be cool to have it all self leveling.......and so did he, so now we got more work (had). Thats how it happens. I think we were only gonna do 6 18's at first but i opened my mouth and said 8.........then he said F#ck 6 thats weak. So now were doing 8 LOL. Thats how all our projects go. A plan, with a little freestyle in the mix

also guys, i have had the truck for well over a year, almost a year and a half........but we didnt start officially working on it till June 2007 i think.....so it hasnt been THAT long.

he stored it at my house for a long time while he was moving to the new pad so it collected dust and spider webs for like a year before i touched it. (i striipped out the old equipment early but didnt start the build for a minute). Like i said, he dont care, its the hoopty......that beat down old truck has 16,000 miles on it so F#ck it work on it whenever

So Steve..... You plan on doing any REAL work on this any time soon? sheesh the last work I saw was when you had to have some help to carry one of them little amps to the back of this thing and that was last year!!!!

well thanks for the patience with my question guys, I have asked that question at shows or even on other ( hate to say it cause none compare now that I found this one) forums and all I get is mostly wise cracks and bs. I think that alot of people ( not here) think that because they see some stuff done on tv or even in mags that it doesnt take much effort or time so when a dollar amount is thrown at them they're like - shoot I can do that, little do they know. anyway I am glad I found this site.
