finkster Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 here is a link to where a few other amps were tested....surpisingly some arent too bad! On the other hand a few i thought would do good didnt. Looked more like an avalanche then a square cube http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/powercube2.asp how to read it, what it means. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/powercube_about.asp Wow, I didnt notice the competitor option last time, very interesting as noted... and wow the Sony put out more than rated, and the Alpine PDX-4. 150 put out over twice its rated power. Very cool graph Quote DAT 4125------>RE XXX comps active Eclipse cd7000 I serve drunks for a living
zfrerichs Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 its all good.....thanks!! im still VERY close....i admit though, since about 2 weeks before xmas, i have been putting MAD time into fixing up my house a little. We had family coming that has never been to our house and it was just down right in need of a face-lift on the inside. Got the kitchen and main bathroom done but now everything else looks like SHIT compared - so i cant stop now haha..my boy Jeff is sanding and retexturing my walls and i did a few bull-nose conversions while i was making a mess anyway. The hoopty sounds incredible and is ready to at least test drive and possibly take it to chickens for a sneak peak....at this moment, the ugly green Nitrogen tank is getting a custom "bottle bag" to match the interior tailored up. It should have a zipper on it to where you slide whatever ugly tank they give you right into it and it will look good. If you know about bags and helium/nitrogen bottles, you know you exchange tanks not refill them and you get what they give you. 99.9999% of the time they are terrible looking. I have to take one of the 24's off and get the stem replaced since it leaks and is now flat. Then after that ill go get the brakes put on.....i just spent all of last weekend doing 3 dump runs and clearing out my path so i can get the hoopty AND my honda out (they WERE blocked in). I hope by this weekend i MIGHT just be doing a test roll!! anyway, all that and my living room is tore up getting renovated - so when it looks like im slackin, im not, i just have 500 things going at once at all times. Oh and like mentioned at LEAST 50 times in this thread alone, i still have to go to work at my normal job every day before all this. So sorry bout the lack of updates, ill be back on it in the coming days for sure! bull nosed edges are teh shit. lol it doesnt sound like much but they make a huge difference in looks. meade916 Posted January 16, 2009 Author Report Posted January 16, 2009 slight update...still waiting on the (custom tailored) bottle-sock for the nitrogen bottle. I decided to get the Kick panels wrapped tonite. I know i might make it look easy but DAMN this shit is no joke. This isnt no cheap ass vinyl that basicly melts into place, this stuff is stiff one way and stretches a LITTLE the other way. Anyway they are ugly before they are pretty but here goes.
