Hey, so my voltage is at 14 volts then when the lows hit it drops all the way down to 12.9. I have a walmart battery under the hood and a stock battery in the trunk. I have a 1999 Bmw 323i and im wondering what kind of battery to get without breaking the bank. I don't want to buy an alt:( thanks

Low voltage as 13 isn't bad at all. Before my new battery(hc2400, think that's what it is), I would drop to 11.

Edit: with 200 you probably couldn't stop 2kwrms from having voltage issues. Only thing close to that price would be a HO alt for like 280 that would be 220 amps.

If you don't have an alt powerful enough to provide for the amperage the amps are requesting, it will pull from your batteries and drop down to the battery's resting voltage eventually..

And it will put strain on your alt if you add to many batteries and no HO alt.
