multiple batterys and alternators causing electrolysis

Im putting my hoe in the shop for the 3rd time in 3 months, reason? leaking freeze plugs. my mechanic says it could be caused by all my electrical upgrades ive done. ive paid over a grand to him to fix it 3 times. has anyone had this problem? i can see how pulling up too 700 amps through my engine block could be a problem(electrical circuit goes from pos of alternator post to batterys to neg of battery to frame to back of alternator casing which is mounted to engine block).correct me if im wrong.

Makes no sense why your freeze plugs would go out on you from an upgraded electrical system, if that were the case we would have the same problem no matter how many amps are being pulled. Sounds like fishy workmanship or a mechanic trying to pull fast ones on ya.

lol like that soap box, im just saying tho. on the real it could be a coincidence, but how many of you are ruuning 780amps worth of alternator and 10 runs of 0g to 4 batterys like i am? so could it be a possibility? who knows im droppin that bitch off now and telling him to change out all my factory ones with new ones. arent factory ones brass?

thats a new one to me. it just might be an improper mixture of coolant. do you know what type of freeze plug hes using?

i will find out, i know he took out the shitty ass dexcool the factory uses and put green anti freeze in there and i know you cant mix the 2 or it will gum up. he said he flushed it before he did it

I didnt see your alts listed.....

heres the thing. Your electrical system should not affect that. i understand its a side effect of a ineffective cooling system and your electrical could be killing that but you have enough juice. I highly dounbt you are banging 54s all day long to sap your charging system that low. do you have overheating issues? Think it could be vibration from improperly installed freeze plugs? you have enough grounds etc. It should in no way have an impact on your freeze plugs.

lol, you need a better shop, not possible. I pull very large amounts of current thru my GM and have no cooling issues. You need a better mechanic sounds like he don't know how to put a freeze plug in properly.

ok all you chemists out there.has any one ever used metal and electricity to boil water? well i have when i was away on vacation. and the process speads up corosion time of the metal dramaticly. well my factory freeze plugs where corroded so bad on the inside they started forming pinholes and just rotted through. the werent rusty looking, the metal just looked eaten away.( i had them change them all) now i know there are many possibilitys such as age, (11yrs old) miles on motor 170k, the fact that the previous owner drove it with a bad radiator for months, every part of the cooling system has been changed from water pump ,radiator,to heater core,etc. my motor doesnt run hot ay all. what im saying is you dont think there is any chance that having the electrical system i have sped upn the process of corosion? thats all im asking
