kanes_disciple
My current setup is a older rockford fosgate power series 1000bd on 2 12 inch RF P3's. I have 2 of the big three done(ground to frame is all I'm missing), 0 gauge wire going from my front battery to my back battery, and a 200 amp alternator. My front battery is just a regular car battery and my back battery is a Kinetik HC600. I am prolly gonna go with a 3000 watt amp to one 18 in February and was wanting to know what if any upgrades I need to make to handle the 3000 watt setup. I know I will need a Kinetik under my hood and finish the big 3, other than that I dunno what other upgrade I would need to do. Any help would be appreciated! Hotdog
Finish the big 3 and add another battery in back along with the HC600. I run a T40001bd and my setup I have Big 3 done, Iraggi 260amp alt with Stock battery up front and Two batteries in back one is a C & D Max Rate 93ah battery and the a Kinetik HC600 I have no problems with the system at all. skittlesRgood
finish the big 3, replace the stock battery with a kinetik 1800 (or whatever fits) and add a 2400. should be good. the 600 wont do much. Hotdog
I forgot to add that when I got it turned up really loud my dash lights dim and my headlights dim somewhat bad when the bass hits now! you will get dimming lights when your electrical requirements exceeds the capability of your alternator. If you have not put in the 3000 watt amp in yet and you dimming on 1000rms you might want to check the Alternator. skittlesRgood
I got the alternator brand new off ebay back in March and its worked fine so far! what brand? a lot of those ebay alts are garbage and often do less amps at idle than stock alts.
