Ernesto
Was wondering if anybody here that knows (for sure) the formula for tunning. For example if I have 20 cubes and want to tune to 35hz what would I have to do in order to know the length of the port...Feel free to throw in some examples. David
you want the mathmatical formula?

AP Zoutes
If you have 20 cubes first decide your port area...16 sq" per cube = 320 sq" port = 20 x 16 (just an example) then you want port length for 35 hz = 20.25 " long (just use winisd for port length) but then you have a port displacement of 3.7 ft3 which needs to be subtracted and port length needs to be recalculated. then subtract 3 ft3 (rough guess) from 20 = 17ft3 change the port area to 272 sq" = 20 x 13.5 (example) the lenth will be 21.25". the port displacement will be 3.3ft3 -20 = 16.7 so change 21.25 to 21.8 = 35 hz what you end up with is a port that is 20 x 13.5 and 21.8" long (35 hz) and an enclsure that is 16.7 ft3 after port displacement before sub displacement Hope that makes sense and helps
Forevrbumpn
I love Bass Box 6.0 pro, and LEAP/LMS programs :^ :-* Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. AP Zoutes
I don't want to type and try to explain all the math....I've been using winisd for a while to figure out port length.....If you want to learn the formulas involved get this book "Great Sound Stereo Speaker Manual" by David B Weems. I used this book for years. It took my about 3 or 4 enclosures to fully understand it. Now and then I will still pick it up for understanding...but winisd works great for giving port lengths
