I don't like drop either!!!! It is pretty bad ass when the longer you play it watch the voltage go up instead of down. I would say for above 10k watts daily, you need the dual alt setup at a min and around 3-4 d3100s per amp. This is what I am about to do with my current setup, just add 4 more d3100s and I am golden, I run two 3500d.1 aq amps and currently only have voltage drop on music, but I am only running two d3100 batts too plus the 3400 underhood, BUT i have a quad alt setup so my voltage only drops for a sec or two and then climbs and stays above 14 all day.

8 D3100's cost roughly 2.8k

10 D3400's cost 2.4k

So i save 400

let me ask you derrick which would you do

Maximum Amps 3200

and i figured my alt setup would be (2) 250-300a alts and then keep the stock in there

The max amps on the d3100 is 5000 and you have to look at reserve capacity of each battery, ah don't mean shit in car audio!!!!

D3100 are gonna come out on top, it takes weight in lead to make power!!!!

That definitely sounds good. I'm assuming money isn't a huge factor, if at all, so I'd spend the extra 400 dollars and save on some wire and space.

lol it wont be but im just getting my knowledge now i leave for basic soon so once i get enough money saved up ill get my truck then go from there
