Car system to work off a wall socket?

Hey guys,

So here's the scoop..I crashed my baby a little while ago and even though I totaled it, I was lucky enough to save all my equipment without a scratch on anything. Now that my new car isnt ideal for my system I'm going to build a whole new one with all new components. But I don't want to sell my old stuff because I want to try and hook it up just like it was in my car but have it running off a wall socket. Here's my questions:

1. Is it possible to run two 12' W6's, two 500/v2's, an alpine PDX400, and two sets of Rockford 6.5 components off one wall socket? Obviously I will need a 110v to 12v converter so I can hook up the car battery but will this still work?

2. Do I wire it just like it was in my car? I plan to run it off my Kenwood touchscreen so that will have an aux jack to which i can plug in my ipod or macbook.

3. Whats the best way to go about building enclosure's for my 6.5's? Should I make four boxes with one in each or two boxes with two in each? I built my ported subwoofer box with awesome results..but is there a difference in building a box for speakers and a box for subs?

4. Will I have a constant power flow to my system that wont keep draining the battery every time a heavy bass line comes in?

Any other information on how to hook this up properly or someone who has done this with their own system would be greatly appreciated...I have no knowledge on this so anything helps!

You can wire the head unit up to your computer if you want to have it right there (depending on your power supply, you can even hook up some speakers to it)

computer has 12v+ 5v+ 3.3v+ and ground.

Not hard to do.

ya you can hook up an amp to a power supply. but you can only get as big of a power supply as the breaker in your house is rated to. well... less if you want to have anything else turn on. ive seen some people hook up a charger to a car battery and run car audio stuff in their home.

You could get something like this, granted it isn't cheap but will power the system.

For the 6.5's you could use shoe boxes or get some 1/2" mdf and make some small enclosures for them, like bookshelf sized.

for a computer power supply, use ALL the yellow and black wires (that are adjacent to the yellow wire). do not touch the red wires as they are 5v and yellow wires are 12v. on the big 20 or 24 pin connector, there is a green wire with a black wire next to it, cut those 2 wires off and twist them together. this turns on the actual power supply. and you're done pretty much.

I would not use a computer power supply for an AMP period.

I would only run the head unit which would only require the thin wires.

PSU's can power small amps, not multi kilowatt amps lol. most people on youtube etc only use like 1 or 2 yellow wires which is pointless since like 8O% of the psu is unused. use all the yellow wires and you get pretty much all the power out of the 12v rail as possibly.
