Car system to work off a wall socket?

I followed all the directions in this thread on how to hook an amp to a computers PSU, and now my computer won't work. WTF, Where do I solder the 1/0 gauge to the mobo?

For the 6.5's you could use shoe boxes or get some 1/2" mdf and make some small enclosures for them, like bookshelf sized.

I use this to charge battery via wall socket, and since I have a battery on constant charge, I can power an amp yes?

With what i linked you can power the system with or without a battery but i would put a battery between them anyway as a buffer.

PSU's can power small amps, not multi kilowatt amps lol. most people on youtube etc only use like 1 or 2 yellow wires which is pointless since like 8O% of the psu is unused. use all the yellow wires and you get pretty much all the power out of the 12v rail as possibly.

I have a 500w psu so I can get maybe 400 max at idle since the components are not being fully used, but it's going to drain them and under power everything

This is why I would not use anything but a head unit and a speaker or 2.

I added a head unit in my pc years back just to test burned CD's.

200 watts? they dont even make PSU's that small anymore as far as i know. get a 1000w PSU and youll be fine powering a 4 channel or a smaller monoblock. wire multiple up for a bigger amp.

I can only guess most people would not have heavily invested in both car audio and computers.

i have like 3 PSU's lying around here that i want to hook up a couple of 8's i have to my PC in a t-line whenever i find an amp i feel like paying for that's not a whole lot of cash

the only psu's i have are powering the various computers around my house. i dont use any for audio use. its not that hard to figure out how to "manipulate" a power supply to work for anything that uses 12vdc. i mean you only have to mess with 3 different colored wires, yellow 12v+, ground, and green turn on lead.

edit: hell i just literally helped my friend 5 minutes ago with wiring his PSU to an old pioneer headunit and it worked
