I couldn't figure out where it was coming from so I took it to the auto store and long and behold they found the bracket snapped. Skullz Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 I would pull it out make a template and have it welded till you can cut out one from mild steel instead of having a cast piece welded together in there on the verge of breaking again. Blue Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 Not necessarily. If it is a crappy weld to begin with, then that is the point where it will snap again. Take it to a weld shop and have them weld it back together. If welded properly the joint itself will be stronger than it was before. You wont be able to get a hold of them this week most likely. They are at SEMA doing their thing this week. So in the mean time I would take it out, take it to a weld shop and have them weld it back together 'till you can get a hold of DC Power. My point is that if it does it once there is a good chance that it will happen again.
