Well if it was vibrating bad, then that is what broke the metal, alum and vibration doesn't do well, just imagine a paper clip, you bend it back and forth enough times it breaks, same principal here. Call up dc, I would think they should take care of this, but you should have mentioned the vibration issue when you first installed to dc.

My guess is that once the bottom bracket broke all the pressure was put on the top ear of the alt twisting it to the point of breaking. Looks like you'll need to really beef up that bottom piece to help with the twisting on the alt that the belt is putting on it.

check your engine mount bushings maybe one or two of them are shot and the engine is bucking...also if it was as looses as you say the vibrations was the belt not being tight and flopping a little while spinning if that makes sense. im sure that the belt needs to be pretty taut.

as soon as you saw one problem with it you should have taken it out and contacted DC.

I don't have time to constantly take it out nor go to the auto shop. I juggle school and my job, and this is a hobby. When the bottom one snapped I didn't have any time to immediatly take it out. I had work that night, school the next morning and work after school. I had to go a few days with the bottom broke. That's then when the top snapped a few days later. Now im here, with it out, and stock back in trying to get in touch with DC.

Engine doesn't vibrate lol. Tranny has always slipped just a tad when it shifts from 1st to 2nd, but other than that cars in great shape for being almost 14 years old.

idk why they wouldn't cover it. Not like I soaked it with gasoline and then lit it on fire, or dropped it off a building to the concrete. Bottom snapped, then caused the top to snap. I've been meaning to have them upgrade it too, so maybe this was the alts way of saying "upgrade me"? lol.
