Inverting Subs

Hey guys, I am planning on shoving my 4 12's (2ohm kicker cvr's) in to my 81' Camaro, powered by an Audiopipe 3001D. I was wondering if you build the box the same size as a regular sealed box, or can the box for inverted subs be much smaller? Because awhile back I saw a guy invert 2 12's and the box they were in had to be only about 3in high, 13in wide, and about 30in long in his Nissan 350z; it sounded really good and solid.

You would still have to build it to specs but you don't have to add in the subwoofer displacement inverted which saves a little space. That's how I understand it anyway.

Isn't the speakers polarity also 180degrees?

YOu won't hear the difference if all woofers all inverted.

If 1 is inverted you need to change polarity on that woofer or else you get cancellation.

Thank makes perfect sense, I guess the thing that confused me was why that guys box was so small?! Really threw me off because it sounded good.

You are correct, the polarity of the subs are reversed
