alright so today i decided to throw in my AQ2200D i bought from a local friend just to hear the diffrence betwenn one AQ2200D vs (4) POS Crunch GPV2000.1s

i have four D2 subs so i wired them like this

heres the actually wiring all with 8 gauge

This should have equaled a 1ohm load

but it was more towards .5 ohm on my TPI scope 440 and Sperry DMM

it did sit right at .5 ohm but i kept going back and fourth from as low as .3 and as high as 1.3 so i dk

either way i hooked it up and it played perfectly fine (i have the electrical to back up a single AQ2200D at .5 even if it was at .5 ohm)

that one amp played WAYYYYY better then the four POS crunch amps and almost got just as loud

im gunna try at get some TL results this week with the single 2200D

main reason im worred about it reading towards .5 ohm is i was was playing to buy a second AQ2200D and run them strapped at 1 ohm daily

i wont run them strapped at .5 daily

anybody have any ideas why it would read out like this??

EDIT: i do have the subs wired wrong

when connecting the coils that dont go to the box i was supposed to use the positive of one coil and the negative of the OTHER coil but i dont

so its 4 D2 subs in parallel not series/parallel

im gunna fix them tommorow and get some pics and maybe a vid?

I would try 0.5 ohms each amp for daily, you have a very strong electrical system, and great to see this pos vs AQ test hehe, that´s what happen when you use a REAL car audio amplifier, the only crunch i recommend it´s the old trusty 3K hehe

yea ive seen alot of people run AQ at .5 daily some im cnfident they will be fine at .5 daily just gotta get my ohm load right its being a lil weird im going to rewire my subs tommorow cause its reading .5 when it should be a 1 ohm load

and its like night and day between the amps

i did a 148.3 mic on passanger side windsheild driver door open at 40hz with the 4 crunch amps clipping to hell and back and no deadner

no i have over 300sq ft of deadner

im gunna try to get on the TL this week

i shouldve got rid of those amps a longggg time ago

working on my truck yesterday and my girl snapped a pic of me lol

i was sealing off where my old terminals used to be

put in my AQ2200D and my old jensen 4 channel to test out what it sounded like with the AQ at one ohm VS. (4) crunch gpv 2000.1s each at one ohm

its almost just as loud with the single AQ2200D and it will soon be 2 AQ2200Ds stapped at 1 ohm to all 4 L7 15s

i was hoping to be under the window line or atleast right at it when i got rid of the amp rack but im a lil above it

its alright though i dont compete and this box is tuned around 30-31 hz anyway

also still waiting on the material for my suede headliner

gunna try to get some tl numbers with the single amp this week

soon it will be dual 300 amp iraggi alts with VCM and 8 runs of 1/0 (4+/4-) all to run two AQ2200Ds at .5ohm each and one 4 channel amp, my voltage should be pretty steady

hopin to get the scores tommorow but dk yet
