If you have a 1200 rms amp, and you have two subs hooked up to the ohm load that is needed to produce the 1200 rms, each sub will receive 600 rms.

In a perfect world, yes. But there are many factors (voltage drop, impedance rise, etc). Each sub would get 600 watts if those factors were eliminated. Each sub would get the same amount if power.

You could put two 600 or 1000 watt subs on that 1200 watt amp. The 1000 watt subs would just want more power. The subs will move though

Why does everyone have such a hard on about impedance rises? It only really matters when you're making a one note wonder and you're wiring down to .25 ohms or something. Sure, a box with less rise will get you louder for daily, but most of the time the difference in impedance rise and box rise negligible... /rant

It's nice to see what kind of impedance you're actually seeing and how much power you're really getting out of your amp. I didn't care until I clamped my amp and saw I was rising from .7 ohms to 3.3 ohms, that's a big difference.

The title next to your name is based on the amount of posts you have, not your actual TL score most of the time. /facepalm

lol okay i was wondering how i could get my TL up there... that was confusing me, my fault lol
