EVL-100
Wanna know what sorta of RMS power i can run off this eletrical with out massive voltage drop. Got a stock alternator which is 90amps, but can get a direct bolt on for the police version of the car which is 120amps. Guessing upgrade front batt and another in the rear will help. bumonskateboard6
USUALLY off a stock electrical you're fine running 1500-2000rms, you will have voltage drop, but as someone (I can't remember his name) said "everyone on this site has a huge boner for overkill electrical upgrades" Quote Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

EVL-100
I was thinking of running 1500rms for the subs and 600-800rms for mids and highs.
Emoxihax
w/ just 500 watts rms my lights were dimming, so if you're okay w/ dimming lights go for it, I couldn't take it so I had to get a second battery lol Quote 2004 Volkswagen GLI 1 10" Skar VVX ^^^ Looking for an amp to run it, Pm me if you have one ^^^
EVL-100
Haha yeah, with my old car, stock eletrical 75amp alternator I was running 900rms, and that would dim bad, got the voltage as low as 11 two or three times. Steph3n1
you can get away with running 1500RMS if you upgraded the front battery and did the big 3. i dont see 2k happening without another battery in the back Quote 2005 Ford Ranger Reg cab Build in Progress T3 Audio T2000 12 ARC SE4000 Stinger HPM 1/0 Wire DC power 270xp Batts: 1 Redtop up front and a Stinger SPP2250 in the back Hopes to be in and around a 150....weel see my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/steph3n1 Team DBs (Driven By sound)
pumpfinder
So if I got a 120a alt, upgrade front batt, add rear batt, and do the big three, I should be able to run 2k Rms? Sorry about asking a question in response to your question, just interested. Skullz
Add in a voltage meter to watch how quickly it is dropping, this way you'll know exactly how fast your dropping voltage and either need more batteries or a new alt or even a combination of the two.
