Switch from viper 5900 to 5902???

Recommended Posts

I have a viper 5900 alarm right now but my remote is starting to fall apart because ive had it for a while and i was wondering if its possible to save the wiring from my 5900 and use it with a 5902? or do i have to have all the wire ripped out and the new wiring installed?

h1 harness with parkings lights, door triggers, etc... is the only one that is the same. The rest of the harnesses and antenna are different.

I can confirm this also,

I would be leary of that 5902. It is might expensive to replace that transmitter if you accidentally do her in and the battery life is :bull:

-A few wires, half a speaker, some watts

-All Black 6's

-Paint to Match, SS Bumper, Black grills.

-HID'ed and LED'ed

-A few performance enhancers

I have two nice subs for sale, but I am not allowed to help my fellow forum members by offering it to them for a nice price via my signature, sorry

How is the battery life crappy, I charge mine and go a month on it before hooking it up again overnight, thats nothing, I can live with that, heck I plug my cell phone in every night. The only issue with the 5902 is that you carry a almost 200 dollar key fob around that is a theft issue on its own, ha ha, but it is really really really cool what it can do

My 5901 never lasts a month and the 5902 have always went down faster from my experience, but then again, I haven't done a lot of 5902s. Truthfully, damn a 200 dollar fob, becuase most get broken and that is a lot for a fob if you have to buy one.
