Hostility
just trying to figure out my new build, was wanting to go with 2 6" aero ports, but having a hard time finding some used. I do have about 6 4" aero ports though, and was thinking if i used like 4 or 5 4" would i get port noise? or im better off just hunting down 2 6"? TheSundownFire
^^^^This. I made my own 4 inch aeros. The process takes a bit to get down but once you have your process figured out it work very nicely. Hostility
what about the flared ends? but i am also curious if there would be port noise if i used to many 4" aeros, i think it would look a little funny though also Quote 99 s10 4.3L Big 3 220amp alt Odyssey 1500 Odyssey 2150 Northstar NSB 75 Sundown Audio 3500D Sundown Audio 125.2 3 Sundown Audio SA-12's Alpine H/U RF Power Comp set 6.5" RF 3 sixty line driver 5.25 cubes @ 31hz
fr34kout
As long as you have the proper port area, the size of the aero ports shouldn't make a difference.
TheSundownFire
^^^This. I was going to go with one 6 incher but I couldnt get a 10 foot section in my car so I bought a 5 ft section of 4 inch and used 2 ports instead of one. Sanitarium
don't ask us if the 4" aero ports will work. find the rule of thumb for aero port area per cube, then do the easy math 3.1415 * (radius ^2) * number of ports
fecupe2001
We don´t even know what´s the box size or what subs, even what power you are using, so yes, it´s kind of dificult having an opinion about port area, but YES you can flare the PVC ports if that helps you Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
