how much cone area is usually required for a good hair trick

There are WAY too many variables such as power, the actual sub, type of car, type of enclosure (wall, trunk, cargo area), where the wall is if you have one (a, b, or c pillar), etc

Wall at the A-pillar, say wut? But yea what he said, you could have 10 12's and still not do a hair trick if your box isn't designed properly, don't have enough power, etc. Some people can do it with single subs, it all depends.

I´ve done them even with 3 10´s , just not as big as 2 18´s hairtrick that i do right now, yeah there are tons of variables, but if you have the space for a proper box, then the bigger the cone area the easier would be to get a hairtrick

IIRC, you have to be able to displace atleast 1/20th of air space in your vehicle's cabin.
