What Amp Would Be Best For An...

OK, I have narrowed my choice down to 3 amps now.....

1) Alpine PDX-1.1000

2) Rockford Fosgate T1000.1bd

3) Rockford Fosgate T1500.1bd

The reason I don't like the T1500.1bd is because it is so small compared to the T1000.1bd and looks like it would get hot and go into protect mode, and it doesn't have a cooling fan like the T1000.1bd does.

Price has nothing to do with my decision.

So....what should I do?

i heard that the t10001bd puts out 1600 watts @ 1 ohm (just cause its really underrated)

i think it would be able to power ur sub pretty good. plus ive never heard anyone with heating issues on it

I changed my mind.... Not going to get the T1500.1bd anymore.

I'm gonna spend the extra cash and get the T2000.1bd because even if the amp would happen to be too much power for the sub, it can always be turned down, but the smaller amp can't be turned up if it's not enough.

Well I put 3 t1500's in the truck of an old school pontiac one on each mx12 and it has never gone into thermal or protect ( I see the dude everyday) and he pounds it HARD! it is all covered except the top by a full trunk baffle covered in vinyl and has like 2" of space between it and the trunk lid. No problems whatsoever.

Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer
