Say if you donate five dollars...you will give a free mix cd away to every donor. As for the CD’s, I would not recommend it. Though I have no legal background I would sure hate to see good intentions turn into trouble for you. I would recommend just asking for donations right up front. Like you said a few dollars here or there can help. With that said, I just put 10.00 in your Paypal account to get you started. It is illegal to sell other artists music, it dont matter if you are selling a song of theirs, or a mix cd. However it IS LEGAL too ask for donations and in return GIVE a cd as a FREE GIFT. no0b4lif3 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Share Posted August 21, 2007 i dont think its legal to sell other ppls songs even on if its a mix but if the sellin part is the problem then just send a free cd to the ppl who just happen to donate for the cause. he wouldnt be selling there music, he is going to give the cds to the ppl that donate money, im not all to sure about the legalities of the situation, and im not sure where u could find that kind of information, unless u would call a recording company or somthing...
