rusty959
I saw nothing big between them, but its ebay, so its hard to compare. Also, see if you can find one with esata/firewire. usb is annoyingly slow with big files... even if you dont have an esata port now... you probably eventually will. Also, Dont use ebay. lol. Newegg ftw. For example, here is a drive that I think is the same model as you had there but cheaper. Much easier to compare and search. Plus you have the great customer service of newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136471&cm_re=wd_2tb_external-_-22-136-471-_-Product 2013 Subaru BRZ12" Orion HCCA on AQ 22001967 mustang restoration project: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110765-mustang-restoration-build-2011-edition/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/therusty959

nCOMP1337
wstern digital in my opionion is the best harddrive company, ive only ever owned WD when ive bought my own computers, i have had seagate and the seagate barracudas arent bad but WD is better IMO and i have also had samsung and it was okay but they should stick to other electronics as the guy above said, 2tb is around 100 bucks quite often, especially since WD is bringing out a 3TB harddrive, it may actually be out already, havent looked that last WD harddrive you posted looks alright, personally i prefer the portable laptop drives, as they need no external power, just plug right in, but they are slower unless you have usb 3.0 and i think the largest available is 1tb right now, but not sure, but i know a 1 tb portable harddrive you can get for under 100, but that external is a good deal and nice HD

nCOMP1337
yea i remember seeing something about it on their site, but i have investigated further, i was going to custom build a desktop with 5 2TB drives, but then i was going to wait and do it with 3TB drives but now since i have a sweet laptop, i think ill just build a moderately powerful desktop, lol but for the price 2tb is definitely where its at for people that need extra storage space
