fr34kout
Peaking at 30 hz is damn low as is. Most people don't even tune that low.
Scapelli21
I was kinda disappointed in my numbers when testing because it just seems WAAY louder than 2 15" omegas I had. I need more batts too. Unofficially I'm right at a 149@30hz but no proof so I lie:( When on the meter that day, had no interest in playing near 40hz as thats not my daily preference lol I'm a slowed guy sorry:D Quote 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ Pioneer 980BT 16 SA-10's - 4th Order Bandpass NS-1 - 3 D3100's DC & XS Power, Audio Technix, Sound Deadener Showdown Team Sundown Audio
fr34kout
So were you just playing it off music or did you do a sweep to find your peak?
DHFHades
I have 1 15, sub back port back in my Cherokee...seems to do just fine. audiofanaticz
This is a DD/demo before anything vehicle geared more towards lows. So now Im confused... You dont want to do subs up port back because this is a daily driver and you want to hit lows. So Im wondering why a box that fires the woofers up and port back cant get low and be louder at the same time??? Ive ran both ways in my tahoe, and the sub up, port back boxes have always been louder, and when I was at a competiton my burps frequancy was 31-35hz dependent on box Makes no sense to me really.. Here is one of my first boxes in this truck, peaked at 35hz, powered by two 3krms amps 150.1-150.4db legal Heres a 2nd box, louder then the first box peaked at 29-31hz powered by 2 3krms amps 150.5-150.7db legal. Later I sold off the two 3k amps and replaced them with a sundown 4500, and it do a 150.4db legal consistantly. Current box, loudest of them all, peaked at 32-34hz, powered by the same saz-4500, and would do a 151.1db legal pretty consistently. I tossed a 2nd amp on the subs and was .2db away from doing 154db legal after more tweaks before going to the last show. But was the louder and lower then the box with subs/port backwards which was a PWK design...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0IX9kmovgE#t=1m41s Edited December 1, 2010 by Audiofanaticz
