I been looking into some amps, specifically the Soundstorm EV5000D, and the Hifonics Brutus 1700W model, can't remember the specific model. I'm interested in the soundstorm because of the price...anyone have any experience with the brand? or with that amp? it seems like it might be a little cheap for it's power capabilities... any opinions?

Power Acoustik isn't really a quality brand to be honest.

Ya i probably could've guessed by the price... thanks though. I'm just trying to find a 1000RMS at 4ohm amp that's like, on the cheaper side.. any suggestions would be great.

SoundStorm, just say NO. also stay away from the power acustic stuff too. what are you trying to power. if you want to power just a sub, or everything? check out http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ they have some ok prices. but if you can, the best thing I would say is to look at sundown, stetsom, or even Rockford fosgate.

I don't know why that double posted, my bad. But I would definitely consider those higher end brands if i could afford it, and it is just to powers subs... What about SPL as a brand? their amps seem to have good reviews on sonicelectronix.

No. I can understand a budget, but cheap amps are just that...cheap. what equipment are you running, information, and budget?

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
