Hifonics BRZ and HFi line of amps

I have an AP30001 (3000x1 @ 2ohm) and like it so far.... this is without batts and HO alt. $315 give or take, can't go wrong. But I do believe there are other good options out there as well. I would stay away from the HFi series for sure though.

And what is the amp wired to? Because without enough current to supply 3000 watts I assume you're seeing half that.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

His impedance rise it´s x0 and his voltage drops are 0.1 volts, that AP must be giving him something like 2800 watts!! :peepwall:

actually my rise is 4 ==> 5 and volts drop from 14.4 to 13.8.... :good:

jk... of course seeing less than half with the current power supplies.... only connect @ 4ohm and after rise with volt drops. But the point is that it's a decent for me for the time being. ya can bash at it, i don't mind. what matters is that i'm fine with it.

post is about suggestion, not to bash about my amp. so let's not deviate from that. the guy did say he got the electric to support the power. and it was only a suggestion.

anybody have bench tests of the ap3000d? seems kind of cheap for 3000rms. i was thinking of going with the aq2200d. i like how it can be linked just in case i feel like adding another in the future. are there any bench tests for the aq2200d?

Ask fox here on smd... he bench his ... aq2200d does rated power according to several blogs i've encounter.

I ran my AP3k at 1.4ohm bridged, it was fine.. its when you get lower they dont like

then again Bigpimpin ran 2 of his at 1 ohm bridged daily and never had a protection issue.

I say 2 AP3ks only because you will get more power out of both of them than you would 1 AQ3500, in my opinion

still is running daily 1 ohm on each!

i ran mine 1 ohm no problem

clammed one of my AP3ks

starting at 1 ohm

rose to 2.1 ohm made 2500rms with under 12v so keep the power up and they make rated power!

** unless you have the proper electrical and know what you are doing, i don't recommend doing 1 ohm nominal.....
