bobonit
If signal goes in the amp is still making voltage -- this can actually damage the output section as it can climb too high with no load. Good to know, I figured without a load connected and no current on the outputs it wouldn't be producing any wattage/heat. I learn something new every day. tsuch20
If the amp is not shutting off it's fine -- it is not unusual for a high powered amp that is putting out high power to be warm the man was spoken. I dont think you'll need more info than that yes he has and thats is the most valued answer. hes says its fine its fine and i can no longer worry =] Quote 2011 Subaru WRX Rockford Fosgate T1000-4AD (2) Sets of Rockford Fosgate T3 6.5 Components In the works: Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdcp (2)DC Audio 12" XLM2
Eric B
Well a heat sink is made for a reason.. I mean if you don't expect something to heat up that is drawing more current than your house in a footprint the size of a skateboard, your nuts. If you think its the ground which can help contribute to it add some more runs to it. Or find a better spot.
