It is hard to say well you need XX amount of mids/high when I have no idea what your setup sounds like now, and that goes for anyone that responds, you are gonna get a bunch of different answers. Best advice I can give, start with one set per door, if not loud enough keep adding until it is. There is just to many options to this question you asked. And I have no idea what your idea is for the amount of money you want to drop on all this. Just run a 4 channel amp on some components to start, running amps on highs or mids independently is something I don't think you will need to do with just 2 18's.

ok, thanks. My system now is fine, but I only have one 12w7 running 1000wrms. I'm getting the two 18" fi Btls soon and didn't want them to over power my speakers. But thanks for the answer.

I need to know how many mid range speakers and high range speakers I should get to have the best overall sound quality with my subs. I would also like to know placement. I know I will have speakers in the middle section, but don't really know if I should add more there or keep them up front. Also, would it be best to wire the mids to a seperate amp then the highs? Would that give me better accuracy in sound reproduction?

2 component sets, doors, keep them equal, NO, NO. There answered all your questions.

AMI is very correct. This is one situation where preference will come in to play, and without knowing your sound...who can truly tell?

If I had to say something...I would say grab two sets of crescendo 6.5s and their 4 channel. If you're looking for something loud enough to be heard over the bass...they're awesome.

I have two sets of RF T2-s 6.5s off of a T600.4 with three 15" BTLs powered over 4000 watts each. Upgrading system now, and adding two more sets and swapping out for 4 AQ90x4

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Let me know how you like the aq4x90 amps, I am about to do the same in the spring.

AMI was not wrong , but u got a memphis 4 ch is it 1000 watt? i have a memphis 4 ch and i can run highs and mids on it. so i would use that if its about the same and just have some tweets and mids , since u drive a truck in the door is just fine. maybe just get some 3 way speakers like d3's are really nice , i just hate systems with alot of tweeters can get annoying when they try keep up with bass.

http://www.diamondaudio.com/content/view/114/127/

something like this if ur looking for clean .

but idk you on a budget? or any preference to speaker size? i was just assuming since u already got a memphis 4ch to just build around what you got . but TeamHT help me do my build while back so what he telling you is pretty good advice. i was just giving you another idea.

For sure. Im only switching over since I'm swapping out my T4000s for the AQ3500s and I like having matching amps but now I'm actually excited.

Maybe while there's no bass ill swap out one and run one pair and let you know how they fare.
