BFF Larry
today, i was bored at my dad's shop , jus got done puttin in a starter for a camaro, and saw tht he had some battery cables layin around. (ive been thinkin of the big 3 and such workin on a customers car) so i cut the one end clean and stripped away the insulation. but left the other end with the ring terminal. too the ring terminal and placed it on the post of the alt where the line runs to the front battery. and ran the other end thats bare staright to the inline fuse twisted with the wire running from the front battery. ii have a battcap 800 in the trunk and a volt meter runnin from it. i can see an extremely noticeable difference in the voltage not dropping so low on low notes. reading 12v on the volt meter on battcap, and fromt batter reading 14v+. is there anything wrong with this? AMI CUSTOMS
That is what happens when you upgrade cable, I guess the new alt cable is bigger? Nothing wrong with better voltage like you mentioned. BFF Larry
That is what happens when you upgrade cable, I guess the new alt cable is bigger? Nothing wrong with better voltage like you mentioned. ^^ tru like, in my head, i was thinkin tht current flows through watevr is easier or has more allowabilty< new word ha but itll still charge the front battery buz of the smaller wire still being attached to the it, but the larger cable is ran directly to the fuse line tht is runnin to the rear batt. do u think the alt will put the rear batt in 1st place then front batt in 2nd place with the current flow. i dont kno if i made sense in wat i just typed, my bad.
