I ripped my system out so here's my new box

So I did a SPL test today and the meter read 126 db but then would go blank because it won't read higher than 130 db. If this is accurate, I'm excited.

Yeah, I was worried it would be too much. And there's really no way for me to compare to find out, but they hit low as shit and they still seem loud and punchy. There's only one note that I could tell they were struggling on and I think it was around 20hz. I should be able to fix that with some fiberglass filling.

So today I finally decided on a layout for my amp rack. It's gonna be tight so I really hope this works.

A before shot of my trunk. Notice the snow, which means it's cold and I'm freezing my ass off. Hardcore.

An idea of how it should fit.

Secured inside the trunk. Each side is a half inch shorter than the box to provide a flush fit for the top that will go on.

Made these to support the angled amp rack.

So I made some more progress today, but still didn't finish completely. Surprise at the bottom!

Both of the templates in place, should make a nice fit.

And the left.

I got the top boards cut and screwed the right one in. I'll screw the left one in when I run all my amp wires. This is all I got done today because I did some present exchanging tonight.

Among other things, here's some nice goodies for the car.

And another picture. Well goodnight, I should be finishing the box tomorrow and hoping to get the speakers in. When I get back from visiting my mom in Texas, I'll running in a new amp for the mids/highs and putting in a P300-1 on the subs. I also got some microsuede to cover my door panels and trunk build.

Please feel free to share positive/constructive feedback!
