considering teh channel should be narrower at the vent end than the driver end the enclosure might be a bit off...this is why we typically fold them around the back, sso the narrow channel is behind the main channel and the vent is above the driver (or below if the driver is on the bottom)

that is a different type of enclosure

its tapered and is like a horn. a straight transmission line is a very simple design that is very effective

now idealy you want the sub and port facing the same direction (combines front and rear waves) but if this is all you can do then it should still be fine
