i was just wondering if it was possible to upload a file like a google skecthup file onto the forum so i can share box designs or maybe make some for people or something. or even just have a thread on boxes only... i searched with the search button and came up with nothing.... thanks

throw it on your photobucket and hot link. its how we all do it so we can embed images in the thread. you can upload to the sie but it just adds it as an attachment to the thread.

ok usually i can figure this kind of stuff out but i just tried and because its not a "media file it wont even show up on the upload page. do i need to save the files differently or something?

ok i tried dropbox and i dont like it lol, i cant figure out how to share my files with everyone, like photobucket, and i cant upload files to photobucket to share!! WTF Mate

With Dropbox, you have a folder that you need to place the files in. Once you do that, right click the file, and it should have an option to share or copy a URL or something.

Mediafire is a bit simpler to use, but Dropbox can be used for large files.

google sketchup uses .skp files so you will need a file server not a picture server. check out zshare and megaupload.

you can also export as 2d to take a sort of screenshot of what you're looking at as a .jpeg and upload that to a site like imageshack or photobucket.
