Sidekicker
Well i just ordered 2 D4 DC Audio lvl 2 8's for my car. The car is a 1991 suzuki sidekick, and the subs will be powered off of an Orion Xtreme 800 amp for now. I came up with this box design and was wondering what you thought of it, and if there were any changes that i should make before my subs arrive and i begin the box build. I will post pictures of everything as soon as i can, once photobucket opens up. But the box is 1.73^3 net, and tuned to 35.61 hz with 16.18^2 inches of port per cubic foot. bassahaulic
Box might be a tad to big, but seems good. Edited December 22, 2010 by bassahaulic

OrionStang
Box is too big, from experience. Try .6 per sub. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Box is too big, from experience. Try .6 per sub. Okay, i will draw up a new box. What would be a good tuning frequency? I was just aiming for 35Hz. OrionStang
I did .8cuft @31hz on 350 watts and there was just too much excursion. I think 300 watts in .6 cubes tuned to 34ish would be great. OrionStang
You're tuned higher than I was, but 400 watts each is alot for those subs. How do you plan on wiring it up? Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Sidekicker
Well i ordered D4, so i was gunna wire the amp down to 1 ohm. Then just set the gain at 600 with my meter.
