I'm sorry, but lol at a D series in an Accord. Heavy cars need displacement unless you want to be in boost on that small motor and small turbo 20g just to keep up with traffic Just go H22. Simple swap, get the swap at hmotorsonline.com. Good to go.

h22a4 is a good motor or you can build up a g23... do not get a f23 they are garbage

I've never understood a g23 completely, Can I use my current bottom end to build it?

Just go h22 my friend is going to do the same thing in a hatch and with a basic motor rebuild you can get 190hp if you do it right then just bolt on mods done. He got the motor at the junk yard for cheap get it out of a lude and I don't think you will have to buy new mounts not sure though.

I have a 97 Honda accord, it has a sohc f22 non vtec engine in it, and it's an auto. but recently it blew a head gasket, and now the tranny is acting up.. I was wondering a about maybe putting a newer k24 in in and a 6 speed, or maybe a h22 from a prelude. Any ideas? I've also heard the h series engines bolt up to the f series engines with no problem, so maybe a h22 and automatic?

What's your goal on this? Is it going to be daily drive, race track, auto cross and etc? Do you have the time, money, tools or knowledge? k24 swap are not for beginners. IF the head gasket blew i would replace it and probably resurface the head just incase. What's the mileage of on the accord? The h and f series are beginner bolt in and minor electrical conversion. I think it come with hyro tranmission with obd1 or obd2 .. The k series would be hydro and it an obd2

if you want to spend like 5 to 8k on a swap go with a k swap. i would say just swap in a replacement of what you got and everything will bolt and plug in with no major issues. unless you wanna make a fast car then your talking money but the k24 your talking about is the wrong one for numbers

My goal is to have a quicker, better running car that'll run for another 300,000 miles. I have the Time, tools, and knowledge. The head is cracked, and the headgasket blew, and it has a bent rod.. I drove it 20 miles home and it's sitting right now until I figure out what i want to swap it with. It's at 326,000 miles, and the odometer quit working years ago. haha

I know that it's not powerful, but can't you swap it with a different head to increase the compression & power?

I've found another option, there's a guy with a blue top h22 (might be h23, i forgot) For sale for $300 that is starting to knock with under 100,000 miles.. What about a rebuild on that engine & swap it into the accord?

K series is expensive you have to change everything the h or b series would be cool I like the gsr motor. The b series motors are interchangable. I had a gsr motor with the type r trans like it way better than the b16 motor with the type r trans
