ChevyBoy95
I have the ks60.2s and am having a dilemma. it seems when my HU (CDE9842) gets over 22 of i think 35 volume, the bass just makes them sound horrible(almost sounds like distortion from bass). I have turned the bass all the way down on my head unit and filtered out anything below around 300Hz(on the amp) and they still sound like s _ _ _. They are 75rms and im running them off of a MB Quart DSC450 aka 50rms to the comp set. They dont see below 13v EVER! I am just wondering if it is the speakers or what. thanks in advance. if it is just the kickers being kickers i might just buy new comps or coaxes. it seems to do it a lot worse when only two of the four channels are running, but i put another set on the other two channels and it went to almost no bad bass noise.... Sanitarium
you've got bass breakout even though your headunit's bass is all the way down and the crossover on your amp is at 300? Can you physically SEE the woofers jumping to the bass by chance?
ChevyBoy95
well i was thinking, it only does it when 2 channels are being used it seems. or maybe when the other 6.5s are wired up to the other channels it covers it. but to me it seems like there is almost no "distortion" if all the channels are being used. could it be something like if only 2 of the channels are being used it is pulling power from the other channels? (might sound dumb but i am unsure). ill try and check though. StatingROBIN
If i were you, i would take some scrap wire and hook up those other two channels so that you dont have any distortion

You have it bridged sometimes or you literally unhook 2 of the 4 channels?
